One Question for those who grace us with their presence...

How many of you are published authors or considering publication? We have visited a few blogs where books are up for sale (we will add an asterisk or something to support our published authors) and we are quite impressed.

We only ask because we had NO idea when we came up with this blog concept that we would attract such talent! We continue to visit blogs and invite "writers" who blog to join us and encourage our readers to do the same. We simply want to take this moment to say THANK YOU ALL for gracing our humble blog with your immense talents. This is our twenty seventh post in a mere seventeen days. Wow! Thank you for the enthusiasm and support.

Angelia, we noticed that you have quite a few books published. The only way that we saw for orders to be taken was by emailing you directly. If there is another way please let us know and we will share that. We are delighted that you find this a gracious community!

Danzer - Thank you for coming by and taking the time to comment. We have added your link with the information on how to reach you.

Sparkle - We're not sure what trouble you're experiencing. We would like to help you and are distressed that you are frustrated. There may be some problems with Blogger - which is totally out of our control. If it will help, email the work to us and we will struggle with Blogger for you.

Howdy! I am actually starting my own sci-fi magazine which will be out mid 2008. In the mean time I have published some articles and photographs for local publications. I have presented a few critical essays at Literary Conferences recently. I have also had my work (erotic poetry) performed by a local performance troupe called Urban Aphrodite. I am in the process of shopping 2 books and have recently added a writing partner and illustrator to the mix for a black sci-fi series we are co-authoring.
Thanks for asking! I love what I have read here and am honored to be a part of it!

Congratulations and best of luck to you, Femigog. Should we add an asterisk so that readers know they can reach you to purchase your books and magazines? We did not see any posted on your blog or we would have done so.

Not yet but I will get you the info when the magazine takes off!

Glad you asked.

I pretty have sports articles running around everywhere from Black Athlete to Maxim to a favorite New York Knicks website. I used to write for an alternative publication but they tried to limit my word amount.

I've won a few poetry awards. And some of my work exist on a few poetry compact disc, but I don't really take mines serious to the point where I allow myself to even think it compares to real poetry. But I write from my heart and experience so it's never in vain when others share the same sentiments in which I express.

Anyways, I'm currently writing this semi-autobiography book entitled The Game Aint Sweet: The Unsold Story of Street Life. It's a good read. I should be finished writing it no later than Feb '08. I already have a publishing deal in line but lately I've been feeling like it's not really the market I want.

Anyways, I'll post some links where I don't have to search hard. Maybe ESPN will stumble upon the site. Or something.

Thanks to each of you for your feedback (and the reciprocal appreciation). We wish each of you success and prosperity in your writing careers. As BD grows and develops we would like to add images of your magazines and books which link directly to your marketplaces (paypal, amazon, lulu, etc.).

We would like for BD to be a source of encouragement for authors worldwide, especially new authors.

What an awsome Idea!! This is genius to allow other bloggers to come together under one common e-venue to showcase their work. I congratulate the master-minds behind this and look forward to reading more wonderful entries
