Small feet in pink tennis shoes
Laces left carelessly untied
Panties and mini-skirt discarded
T-shirt hastily removed
Legs spread in a gaudy display
But she knows no shame
Prepubescent breasts barely fill her training bra
Tiny nipples cold and hard
Press like tiny pebbles against the damp cotton
Empty arms outstretched
Palms up to heaven in supplication
An unlikely intercessor for the sins of a man
Mouth agape and eyes rolled back behind half-open lids
Wearing a look of perpetual surprise
Head cradled in a pool of crimson
Body sheathed in dew
But she feels no cold
Daddy's little girl
Made to be the hostess with the mostess
Caters patiently to the flies
As a butterfly stops to sip from her navel
On a bed of weeds at the edge of the woods
Laces left carelessly untied
Panties and mini-skirt discarded
T-shirt hastily removed
Legs spread in a gaudy display
But she knows no shame
Prepubescent breasts barely fill her training bra
Tiny nipples cold and hard
Press like tiny pebbles against the damp cotton
Empty arms outstretched
Palms up to heaven in supplication
An unlikely intercessor for the sins of a man
Mouth agape and eyes rolled back behind half-open lids
Wearing a look of perpetual surprise
Head cradled in a pool of crimson
Body sheathed in dew
But she feels no cold
Daddy's little girl
Made to be the hostess with the mostess
Caters patiently to the flies
As a butterfly stops to sip from her navel
On a bed of weeds at the edge of the woods
She sleeps

Though necessary to know, some things are too painful for me to speak to...
It's sad to say that this is a true story for many. It's painful but real. The world is getting worse so we have to keep our babies close!! Touching post.
Xavier, you know I stand with you. But I may need to be on your couch soon! (SIGH)
:))
As the father of a nine-year-old girl, this is beyond any doubt my worst nightmare.
@Sharon: I know...
@Tia: This should never happen to anybody’s baby.
@Love: How did you like my couch? As if I don’t already know [wink]
@Kai: I see you xox

I don't know whether to applaud your talent or be pissed. As a father of four girls I would lose my mind if this were to ever happen to one of my beloved princesses.
@Rich: I appreciate all recognition of my humble talent, but in this instance I vote for anger! I’m the father of two beautiful girls myself. One aged 9 and an older one I adopted who is a survivor of sexual abuse. We as parents need to start talking about this stuff and voicing our anger. Silence is a predator’s best friend.

man, you always know how to turn the word inside out. well done, even if it evokes images none of us want to acknowledge.
*snaps*
That was SO well written! good job. Be sure to pass that one on.
Damn Zay.
@Nikki: After getting props like that from the queen of turning out (words, that is) I’m feeling pretty good about my skills right about now. Yet, the overriding message I want conveyed, is that sexual assault happens daily, in every country, city, neighborhood, and building. We can’t wait until a child end up like this to take action. Our silence is causing incredible pain to little victims.
@Mystery: Thank you!
@SoG: Yeah man...

As painful as this subject is - thank U again, Bruthah Zay for bringing this to the forefront of our thought processes. PLEASE, PLEASE - all parents: TALK to your children EARLY about protecting themselves by any means necessary. Let your children (boys AND girls) know that if they feel uncomfortable with the situation: GET OUT, CALL OUT, SEEK HELP!!
I was taught that all adults are NOT to be respected simply because they're adults. My elders made it clear that a young fool will grow into an OLD fool. I am thankful EVERY day that I had the training that I did! I no longer take it for granted. As much as I may have grumbled when my elders talked to me - I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL that they weren't "detered" by any "attitude" I may have given in my childish ignorance.
@Cap: Thanks [HUGZ]
