I think the answer would its worth many of lives. Think about all the slavery around the world. Every modern day country was built on the back of slaves. Even in ancient times its built on the backs of slaves

Its called capitalism... in order for someone to be rich somebody has be poor. Anyone who doesn't like this can move to a communist country.

I thought of it in light of abusive relationships. Kind of like Blair Underwood's character in Tyler Perry's film, Madea's Family Reunion. The guy gave her what looked like the good life, but he was abusive at every turn.
