We Wish You Safe Travels This Holiday Season.

We are thankful for the warmth and enthusiasm of our contributors and those who take the time to leave comments this holiday season. While you are enjoying gatherings of family and friends we hope you will think of us for just a bit. What is a gathering without music?

You may have discerned by our music selection that we came of age along with Hip Hop. Now, we are asking you to suggest music that inspired you as you were "coming into your own." Thank You!

    I just happened upon this blog and WOW! the music selection alone has won me OVER! I think this is a cool and hip and wholistic way to write in community. I will be back time and time again.

    ANYTHING Earth Wind & Fire, Ohio Players, Slave, Clinton Bands or Heatwave (among others of that era) is golden!

    Yea, I like the selections of SoG. Let's not forget that Prince was HOT in the 80s - that IS when Hip Hop "came of age", right? (well, Prince is still HOTTT to me, but that wasn't the question:-).
