You say you love me
Yet you beat me with your fist
This cannot be real
Till death do you part
This (s)kin you are not to touch
Guess you like them young
Yet you beat me with your fist
This cannot be real
Till death do you part
This (s)kin you are not to touch
Guess you like them young
Mystery, thank you for sharing these intense tidbits of poetry here.
ReplyDeletelove is not abuse.

I have a whole new respect for the Haiku!
ReplyDeleteEmotional
Dumb Question: what does the "s(kin)" reference mean?
ReplyDeleteThis 'skin' you are not to touch. -meaning you are not supposed to touch me.
ReplyDeleteThe 'kin' is in parenthesis to explain: the relation i.e.,
family relationship or kinship.
Then I wrote- guess you like them young.
Basically saying in a way, I am your step child whom you are not supposed to touch...
Hope that helps. :)
That was deep, and in so few lines, touched on so many feelings. Great work!
ReplyDeletethose are some well-crafted haikus. it's a gift to be able to say so much with so few words.
ReplyDeletelove is not abuse
ReplyDeleteit is the salve on tears to
clot the soul's bleeding
never forget love
no matter the time of day
love remembers you
love wants you to win
your sin in life is trying
not to love again
